The Corsair K100 RGB is Corsair’s most ambitious keyboard, combining optical-mechanical switch technology with the deepest feature integration available in a gaming keyboard to create a product that enthusiast builders who invest in the full Corsair iCUE ecosystem will find compelling. The OPX optical-mechanical switches use a light beam interruption mechanism rather than physical contact to register keystrokes, achieving a 1ms actuation response and rated switch life of 150 million keystrokes — significantly faster and more durable than conventional contact-based mechanical switches. The 1mm actuation point with 45g actuation force creates an extremely responsive keystroke that competitive gamers who prefer immediate registration over tactile feedback will appreciate. The iCUE AXIS control dial on the top-left corner provides a physical scroll wheel and programmable button that controls system volume, media playback, browser scrolling, or any custom function assigned through iCUE — once used, a hardware volume control becomes difficult to surrender. Six additional macro keys on the left side provide immediately accessible game-specific bindings without remapping standard keys.
